Mobile Dental Hygiene

The setup is simple! I bring my hygiene instruments and portable dental chair to you. It takes about 30 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to break down, so please keep this in mind for planning your appointment time. It’s best to have a family member, friend, or caregiver available to help, but it is not mandatory.

Christine is a registered dental hygienist (RDH) in Oregon and Washington and holds an expanded practice permit (EPP) in Oregon. She also maintains a collaborative agreement with local Oregon dentist Dr Justin Schmidt. This allows Christine to fully utilize her EPP which was built with the intention of increasing access to care within the state. Christine Hanson RDH LLC is registered both in Oregon and Washington, but state laws vary slightly. In order to receive in-home dental care in Washington State, you must first be seen by and referred from your dentist.

  • Residential care facilities

  • Facilities for those with developmental disabilities
  • Public & nonprofit community health clinics
    
• Also for certain other populations:
  • Homebound adults
  • Children in preschool, nursery, daycare, and their siblings under 18; students in primary & secondary schools; etc
  • Patients in medical clinics, hospitals, offices operated/staffed by midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or naturopathic physicians
  • Low-income persons (below Federal Poverty Level)
  • Other underserved or access-lacking populations as determined by the Board

Christine Hanson is not in-network with any insurance plans. Payments are accepted the same day of service. Superbills are available upon request for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement at a normal out-of-network rate.

You will pay for your in-home visit at the time of service. If you have dental insurance, you may request a superbill to submit for reimbursement at an out-of-network rate. SDF is an antimicrobial liquid that has shown to be effective in stopping tooth decay, decreasing sensitivity, and hardening the affected area. It can also prevent future cavities from forming.
